Glam Rock- Flash Mob Fashion Show
-BERMUDA- November 23, 2011- Fatimaya will be incorporating 70s, 80s, and 90s fashions with glamorous trends. Loving the new trends of leather, furs, and suspicious fabrics? This will be an event that will have your fashion taste buds dancing to a 1970s groove. From hourglass tight dresses to sleek fur boots, this will be the main hotspot for the day. All items are exclusive but elegant at the same time. Can I say luxe?

This will be the 3rd fashion show to be launched from Fatimaya and will be sure to have everyone wanting more. This is a “Flash Mob” fashion show therefore, will be taking place in a busy environment and will be fast. This event will be full of excitement and unique to the island of Bermuda, taking note there has never been something like this before.

This is when you ditch the norms of clothing and dare to stand out! Being normal was yesterday but today is to redefine a winter showcase.Fatimaya was formed to portray unity for women and give a sense of identity and pride in the clothing they wear. It gives women a chance to find their purpose in life and incorporates a confidence boost.

After the fashion show there will be Small Business Saturdays Sale at Inna Heights, having everything from clothing, and accessories to oils, incense and massage therapy for inner healing. There will also be 10% OFF all Fatimaya new arrivals and 25% OFF massages as well as 10 min massages. If you spend $75 with Fatimaya you will receive 25% OFF massages. This will take place from 2-8 P.M.

EVERYDAY PEOPLE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Everyday people making the difference . . .
BY SUDAN FURBERT

For as long as I can remember the media has told us what and what not to wear.  It has broadcasted an image that many emulate with the lack of personal input.  Blindly following trends simply because they are deemed to be in-style or simply because everyone else is wearing them.  However over the last few years, it appears as if women have been able to break this predictably endless ideology.  But, what about our men?

How many men (young AND old) do you see walking around with absolutely no effort in how they present themselves?  There is minimal style, limited personality and frankly a lack of any individuality.  I reckon they should all throw caution to the wind and take ‘harmless’ risk with personal expression!
Combining grit and gentrification, duo Joshua and Travis of Street Etiquette are igniting the way in which menswear will redevelop. Inspired heavily by the Harlem Renaissance, these young men have found a way to impeccably create artistic styling ideas, which portray what they stand for. And, rightly so!

They have grasped the daunting task of finding personal appeal in unique clothing and eclectic accessories, allowing them to gain admiration from countless followers.  Currently, they live in the Bronx and hopefully will soon be able to take their flourishing style blog to a physical location where men can indulge in their dapper approach to artistic expression.

Spring Forward into Fall Fashion! By: Davika Hill

It’s September and after a long summer of late night partying and barbecuing the time has come again to hit those books! Just because summer’s over however, doesn’t mean that you have to leave those bright, bold colors to roast on the beach. With all the eye popping colors hitting the run way this fall you can tote those rich hues right along with your school books into the cold months ahead. Mustard and Jade Green are hot colors this fall so why not try out the season’s trend of bright colored pants. Looking for something a little more refined? Don’t worry the suit look is still in full effect and a nice smart blazer is an A+ choice to anchor down a nice dress.

Fatimaya Note: Color blocking was a big trend this summer. For the winter months however try sticking to one solid hew instead of stacking different colors on top of each other!
