As
of Thursday, August 27, 2010 Showoff Magazine officially turned six! The event
was celebrated with as much style and class as the magazine itself. The party
took place at Moon, {for those of you that don't know about Moon, it's where
Level Nightclub used to be} and even though the crowd was on the smaller side,
that turned out to be a positive; the smaller size allowed for a more intimate
setting. Also, the crowd was full of young professionals, which made it a good
networking experience as well.
The highlight of the night was the announcing,
and crowning, of the winner of Showoff's L'Oreal Amazing Faces
online beauty contest. For most of the night however, partygoers mingled to the
sounds some of Bermuda's finest DJ's {DJ Hershey, DJ Aztec, DJ Bitsy, &
IBreeze of King Jyrus} while enjoying a variety of hors d'oeuvre's. There were
also complimentary drinks! The drink of the night was a Cointrepolitan. This
drink was made from a mix of lemon juice, cranberry juice, and {as the name
suggest} Cointreau.
Even
though the party was on a weeknight, the fun times and good vibes lasted into
the early morning when things finally shut down at around 2:00.
